Krutch Auditorium
Transportation to UC Berkeley
Special note: On Saturday, September 14, the University of California, Berkeley will be hosting a football game at the California Memorial Stadium which is located close to the venue where TECHSUYO will be hosted. There will be lots of traffic, low availability of taxis, surge pricing for Uber/Lyfts, many streets closed to cars, and crowded public transportation before (noon - 1 pm) and after the game (around 5 pm). Please take this into account as you make plans after TECHSUYO ends on Saturday.
Taxi / Uber / Lyft
Given the limited parking availability near the auditorium, it is suggested that you take a taxi/Uber/Lyft to the Krutch Auditorium, getting directions to the address 2601 Warring St, Berkeley, CA 94720.

Parking
Parking availability is extremely limited at the University of California, Berkeley during school days as well as football game days. TECHSUYO 2019 is being hosted on a Friday, which is a regular school day, and a Saturday which happens to be a day where the University of California, Berkeley will be hosting a football game.
Friday, September 13th
Parking options on Friday include:
-
Clark Kerr Southwest Lot: the closest parking to the event. There are 127 parking spots available, and a fee is required to park there.
-
Clark Kerr Sports Lane: 15 parking spots available, and a fee is required to park there.
-
Stadium Parking Garage: 410 parking spots available, and a fee is required to park there.
Street parking near the auditorium is free only for 2 hours and requires a residential parking permit if you were to park longer than 2 hours, therefore we do not recommend parking in the street parking.
More fee parking options at the university can be found here. Make sure to click on each parking option to find out when public parking by fee is allowed and how many spots available are at each parking area.
Saturday, September 14th
The university parking lots will not be available this day due to the football game. You might be able to find parking at the Stadium Parking Garage especially if you show up early before the game. However, keep in mind that the fees for parking on an event day are more expensive, and it might take a while to be able to exit the garage and drive outside of the university area after the game has finished (around 5 pm).
If parking at the Stadium Parking Garage is not an option, we recommend parking in a parking facility in Downtown Berkeley, and then either walking or taking one of the public transportation options listed above to get to the auditorium. Locations of off-street parking garages and lots in downtown Berkeley can be found here.
